A bid pack is what you need to buy to get started with bidding. iBid operates in a pay to play model, so before you can take part in an auction, you need to purchase bids. As soon as you have bids in your account, you can start bidding.

Yes!! Anyone who has won an auction for a tangible item (not bid packs or gift cards) can post a photo of themselves with the item and post it on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest to earn bids and more promotion on iBid website.
- Why is iBid so cheap?
iBid, just like any other penny auction website, makes most of its money by selling bids. The bids are sold in packs of 100s and other sizes, and the more you bid, the more money the company makes. In addition to the value of the bids, the company also receives the final price at which the product is sold.

Knowing what those items are will come with bidding, the best advice I can give it to remain in these price ranges to get used to the site, you'll know how popular it is by the number of bidders who join in. These auctions will go on for about 20 minutes to an hour and 20 minutes

You can use AutoBid bot. You can read here
- Can I just buy things like at a store?
No. Everything is sold by bidding during the auction.
- How do you know when the auction will end?
The simple answer to that question is, You Don’t. Basically, when people stop bidding the iBid-er with the highest bid at the time that everyone else stops bidding will win the auction for that item. So if it is an item you want and you see the auction winding down it might be a good time for you to step into the auction and start bidding so you do not get shut out and lose your opportunity to win the item when everyone else decides to stop bidding. Here are some examples that might help you to be able to identify when an auction is winding down.
The auction gets down to only three bidders continuously making bids and no one else is bidding. The auction gets down to the last two people who have been going back and forth bidding with each other for a while.
The price of the item is getting high compared to its value. An item that retails for $50.00 is most likely not going to sell for the face retail value. Research and see what this item has sold for before. That should give you info to know when the item you are bidding on is closing in on the price it most often sells for. This is very easy to do on big-ticket items such as computers and TV’s, as it is listed when you go in and view the item you are wanting to bid on. Remember to use AutoBid to your advantage when you see an auction winding down. This will help prevent you from not getting your bid in on time.
We hope this is helpful in answering this question for you “How do you know when the auction will end?”.
- If you bid on something and someone else wins do you lose that bid money
If you do not win an auction you will lose your bid. We recommend our users to bid on items they really want. Let me know if you have more questions!
- Is this like eBay or more like Penybids?
For new users, I normally recommend watching our How it Works video for a brief overview of what to expect from the auctions here.
iBid is not like eBay, on eBay you can bid till you want to quit. Here you bid, bid, and bid, it ends sometime, you don't really know when someone may just quit and it is over, you have no choices. On eBay, you can bid more. If you decide to give iBid a try, you will win many things from our site. Giving iBid a try is risk-free!
- Everybody is commenting about good customer service but how is the quality of the product and is it quick delivery
All items on the site are brand new, factory-sealed, and come with standard manufacturer’s warranties. Name brand products are the same quality as if you purchased locally.
Could you please let me know your user name and I'll pull up your account? I'll be happy to assist with any concerns!
- How long do most items take to reach the final bid? Seems like it could go on virtually forever
What makes iBid exciting is that the auctions may end after any of the bids placed!
As soon as no bids are placed before the timer hits zero, the auction ends and the highest bidder wins an incredible bargain on the auction item. Shipping on iBid is a little fee, and the auction winner will not pay for the final auction price to claim the win.
iBid has no control over the duration of the auctions, and it is solely up to the bidders and their placed bids to determine when an auction ends. That’s what makes it so exciting – there are no reserve prices regardless of the value of the item, and any bid can truly be the last one. We have seen $3,000 TVs or $2,200 Macbooks get sold for just a few bids, and many other similar deals are made on iBid every day.
Sometimes auctions can last for longer durations, and this is why we have a tool called the AutoBid which you can utilize to bid on the auctions even when you're not on your computer. It will automatically place Bids for you within the last seconds of the auction. In fact, most auctions on iBid are won with the AutoBid.
I hope this answered your question. Have fun bidding in the auctions!
- Do they sell furniture?
You can find some furniture on our "Home & Office"
- Are the items they offer actually new and not refurbished or returns that customers didn't want or like? Would be interesting to see if I get honest answers
All items sold on iBid are brand new, unopened, and come with standard manufacturer guarantees!
Review from our customer
I have received items from Barrel Shack, AAVA, TomFisk, New Haven, Magisso, Luxury sheets, Adamant, Shultz...and various gift cards. I utilize most on a daily basis. Love all my presents, the ones I have gifted are loved by the recipient as well. All securely packed, excellent "NEW" condition, not "LIKE NEW" condition. If unsecured about item retail cost, go to the manufacturers' site research then make a call. Boosting iBid's reputation is counterproductive; meaning more bidders/competition. I assure you I am an active unpaid bidder who has lost many bids by insecure or new bidders tactics.
This site has given many the opportunity to acquire items from non-mainstream companies, helping to boost their brand. All you have to lose? Control on the wallet!!!

- I want to know more about how to make bides on iBid, not sure and planning on becoming a new customer soon
We are happy to explain how the website works.
We operate on the "pay to participate/bid model" so it's required that you purchase bids in advance. This loads up your account balance.
Each bid you place takes away one of your bids from your balance and increases the price of the auction by $0.01, then resetting the clock to 10 seconds. It's in this small window that someone else must decide if they will place a bid to outbid you. If no new bids are placed and you are the final bidder in the auction, you win the auction at the final sales price but you do not pay the price. You can follow the video here
- I am in Canada-can I still bid?
I'm afraid that at this moment, we only operate within the 48 contiguous states in the US and therefore cannot ship to your location. Unfortunately, we´re currently not available in Canada. All items on iBid are new.
- Is what you buy is what you get?
100%! iBid guarantees the item purchased will be delivered in perfect condition, new, and with all manufacturer guarantees. We replace and compensate for all undelivered or damaged items. If you need anything else.
- Will iBid be having more variety of items for the holidays?
Yes, we will! Stay tuned for new items and promotions :)
- I want to bid a Laptop but I don't have time, how I can do?
Have you heard of the AutoBid? It's an automated bidding tool that's used by the most successful bidders on iBid. In fact, AutoBid's are responsible for the majority of the auctions won on the site.
The AutoBid will then place them for you when the clock is about to hit zero - the best time. If other bidders are placing "single" bids, the AutoBid won't waste any of your bids. It will only place a bid when the auction is about to get sold to someone else.
It's a great tool to use especially when you can't be at your computer. It's also the best way to stay in the auctions and conserve your bids.
By using the AutoBid, you dramatically increase your chances of winning auctions! I hope you'll find the tool useful. Let me know if there's anything I can clarify, or if there's anything else we can do for you.
- How long it takes for delivery?
Items are normally delivered 7-10 days after purchase. We try to deliver asap, and it might be sooner than that :)
- How often does the AutoBid bid after you've chosen the number of bids to use? How does it determine when to bid? Can I set it up to the only bid after the price has reached a certain price?
The AutoBid only bids when no one else places a single bid, thus ensuring that your bids are placed optimally. Unfortunately, it cannot be programmed to start bidding at a certain price, since it is never certain that the price will be reached. I hope this answered your questions. Please let us know if there's anything else you need. We'll be happy to help.
- Does iBid really help you save money?
Yes, in order to participate it's required to purchase bids that come in packs of different sizes. This is how the company is able to make money and be able to sell all sorts of unique items ranging from electronics to kitchen appliances at a fraction of the cost to the auction winners.
While many people do save money it's important to remember this is entertainment shopping so most people shop here because they are looking for more fun and exciting shopping experience. iBid can't guarantee you will win. This allows you to try the site risk-free.
